From 14th to 16th November 2023, the event showcased a phenomenal gathering of space sector professionals, with a record-breaking attendance of over 7500 participants.

This prestigious event, held in Bremen – the city of space, has grown exponentially, reflecting the dynamic evolution of the European space industry. Gordy McHattie, Event Director, noted, “The 2023 event has grown dramatically, hosting more exhibiting companies than any global space B2B event.” With over 650 exhibitors, including Spaceflight Inc., Spire, and D-ORBIT, the expo offered unparalleled opportunities for networking, collaboration, and discovery.
Key Themes and Discussions
Georgia Boyer, Marketing Manager at Smarter Shows, highlighted the key themes: “This year, sustainability and autonomy were the most discussed topics.” The conference stages buzzed with discussions on space debris mitigation, on-orbit servicing, and the evolving dynamics between hardware and service providers.
Expansion and Innovation – A Brand new Hall 4.1
The expansion into Hall 4.1 marked a new chapter for the expo, accommodating 60 additional exhibitors and introducing the Exhibitor Technology Forum. “The opening of Hall 4.1 allowed us to showcase game-changing technologies and engage more closely with our attendees,” remarked Boyer.

The 2023 edition set new records, not only in attendance but also in the depth and breadth of discussions and collaborations it fostered. As Boyer puts it, “This year’s Space Tech Expo Europe was a record-setting event, solidifying its place as a key date in the space industry calendar.”

Boyer excitedly announces, “In 2024, we’re expanding into Hall 7, welcoming even more exhibitors.” The expo promises to continue its legacy of bringing together the entire space supply chain.
