EXPANDEO 2024 Agenda Now Available Online: A Dive into the Future of Earth Observation
EARSC is excited to announce the release of the EXPANDEO 2024 agenda. This year we offer a comprehensive lineup of discussions and insights that will shape the future of the Earth Observation (EO) industry in Europe. The event will take place on 11-12-13 June both in Brussels and online. It will feature three days of sessions with speakers from across the EO ecosystem, as well as International and European institutions.
On the 11th of June, EXPANDEO will host PROTECT‘s final event as a side event. Protect is a European Union-funded project focusing on improving the resilience of satellite-based services for civil protection applications. During this event, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the project’s outcomes and contributions to enhancing disaster management and emergency response capabilities.
One of the main objectives of EXPANDEO 2024 is to investigate commercial opportunities arising from policy implementation initiatives, such as the Carbon Removals Certification Framework (CRCF) and the Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR). White dedicated sessions aim to demonstrate how Earth observation data and services can promote transformative change across different industries, creating new business opportunities and contributing to economic growth.
Another main topic of EXPANDEO is the analysis of market dynamics and the importance of international partnerships within the EO industry. Understanding the global market trends and promoting international collaboration is crucial for navigating the complexities of the EO market, especially as the geopolitical landscape continues to evolve. EXPANDEO will provide a platform for industry experts to discuss emerging trends, identify opportunities for growth, and establish strategic partnerships to drive the EO industry forward.
Furthermore, on the 13th of June, EXPANDEO 2024 will host ESA’s workshop highlighting the tangible benefits of using Copernicus Sentinel data for roads infrastructure management, forests management, and lake water quality monitoring. These sessions will offer a comprehensive overview of how EO data is being leveraged to address pressing environmental issues both within Europe and on a global scale.
The EXPANDEO 2024 agenda is now available online at EXPANDEO 2024. Stay tuned for updates as we announce our lineup of esteemed speakers in the coming days.
