Copernicus4regions New Edition: New Call For Articles Is Open, Deadline 31st Of January 2025

The European Commission, the European Space Agency, and the Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies (NEREUS) are excited to announce a new call for articles, building on the success of their previous joint publication, The Ever-Growing Use of Copernicus Across Europe’s Regions. This initiative, part of the Copernicus4regions follow-on activity, aims to expand and update the existing collection of 99 user stories and testimonials from public authorities and service providers throughout Europe. As such, new contributions are welcomed, including updates from authors who have previously shared their stories.

Local and regional authorities, along with companies and institutions, are encouraged to submit short narratives that demonstrate how Copernicus data or services are being utilized to tackle local and regional challenges. Submissions showcasing collaborations between public users and service providers, particularly where public authority involvement or endorsement is evident, are of special interest. This initiative seeks to foster community engagement and bridge the gap between service providers and public users, emphasizing the positive impact of space-enabled solutions on administrative operations. By sharing these experiences, contributors will help raise awareness about the tangible benefits of Copernicus and facilitate connections between policymakers, data providers, and users.

Contributors are invited to help document the increasing influence of Copernicus across Europe and inspire others by sharing their success stories.
