From 15 July to 15 October 2020, the European Commission Maritime Affairs and Fisheries seeks input into the governance of international oceans and the EU’s role.

The contributions will help re-examine the EU’s role in international ocean governance, assess the three priorities of the current agenda (actions and goals) and identify new policy areas/actions to tackle existing and emerging challenges.

The targeted consultation complements the International Ocean Governance Forum, launched with a virtual event on 22-24 April 2020, to support follow-up and development of the agenda. The next meeting of the forum will take place in Brussels, 14-16 December, 2020.

The consultation allows the space community to provide its expertise on the role of satellite data for governance of the world’s oceans, benefiting from the global coverage and data continuity.

Groundstation.space supports and develops innovation projects in the space domain and can support you in identifying opportunities, searching for partners as well as proposal and project management. Contact Linda van Duivenbode for more information.
