EXPANDEO 2025: Join Online and Explore What’s Next in Earth Observation
Next week, the Earth Observation community will gather for EXPANDEO 2025, the flagship annual event organised by EARSC. Taking place on 11–12 June, this year’s edition has reached full in-person capacity—so now is the perfect time to register for online participation and be part of the conversation shaping the future of EO in Europe and beyond.
From policy to practical applications, EXPANDEO 2025 brings together stakeholders from across sectors to discuss emerging opportunities and priorities for Earth Observation. This year’s agenda features a mix of high-level panels, use-case spotlights, and collaborative sessions, including:
- Shaping the Future of European Earth Observation – with DG DEFIS, ESA, and EUSPA
- Nature Restoration in Action – featuring Brussels Environment, EEA, and Germany’s Federal Agency for Nature Conservation
- Carbon Markets and EO – with speakers from VERRA, Southpole, and BeZero
- EO for Civil Security and Defence – with DG ECHO, EEAS, Belgian MoD, and others
- Accessing the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem – practical pathways with Sinergise, CloudFerro, and Ubicube
- Africa–EU Collaboration in EO – with DG INTPA and the African Space Agency
- Local Climate Action with EO – including insights from OCEANIDS, VALORADA, and regional authorities
- Beyond 2030 – aligning EO with the SDGs and long-term policy targets
