The Webinar will be held next week on 28th September. You will have the opportunity to hear from Prof. Setsuko Aoki, from Keio University Law School and Vice-president of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and the Japan Association of Disarmament Studies, and Mrs Ekaterini Kavvada, Director for Innovation & Outreach of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DEFIS).
Professor Aoki and Director Kavvada will exchange views on the current initiatives undertaken by Japan and the European Union in the space domain, and reflect on the existing European-Japan cooperation as well as the ways to expand it further. Among the key topics to be addressed:

– Japan and EU achievements in space
– Ways to expand the Japan-European cooperation further in the space domain
