The EU Space Days, formerly known as EU Space Week, is the Commission’s most important event when it comes to space policy and the EU Space Programme.
The event brings together policymakers, space industry actors, and entrepreneurs from all walks of life to share knowledge and experiences on how businesses, governments, and society at large benefit from the EU Space Programme and its existing components, Galileo, EGNOS, and Copernicus as well as ones such as GOVSATCOM and IRIS2.
This year this event will be held in Budapest between 20-21 November 2024.
What’s in the mix for me?
With an exciting line-up of panel discussions and networking events, this year’s edition focuses on space entrepreneurship, be it upstream or downstream. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from and engage start-ups and scaleups supported by the CASSINI Initiative and discuss novelties in space research with Horizon Europe beneficiaries.
For the first time, the conference will shine a light on the use of space for dual purposes covering areas of vital interest for the EU such as In-Space Operations and Services (ISOS) and Earth Observation.
The second day is dedicated to skills development and career opportunities in the space sector followed by a networking event.
A Copernicus #EarthArt Exhibition at the Centre of Budapest
A space-flavoured event could not be complete without looking at the Earth from Space. This is why we are bringing to town the Copernicus Earth Art Exhibition, your opportunity to rediscover Hungary’s and the world’s most famous landscapes from space.
The exhibition will be freely accessible to the public and more information about its location will become available shortly.
Let’s stay connected!
The event is organised by the European Commission (DG DEFIS) under the auspices of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of European Union and is held at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
