Dutch Space Sector Generates Significant Economic Value, New Impact Study Shows

A new impact analysis by Decisio outlines the scale and value of the Dutch space sector centred around Noordwijk. According to the study, the space cluster contributes 1.2 billion euros in annual production value and provides employment for thousands of professionals across the Netherlands. ESA ESTEC plays a central role in this ecosystem. Its presence in Noordwijk is supported by a growing network of companies on and around NL Space Campus that together add hundreds of millions of euros to the national economy.

The findings highlight what sector specialists observe on a daily basis. Space activity in the Netherlands acts as a strong economic driver. It strengthens the national knowledge base, supports a specialised and highly skilled workforce and helps maintain the Netherlands’ position within the wider European space ecosystem.

The full Dutch press release and the complete research report are available via NL Space Campus.
