The EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2026 takes place simultaneously in eight European countries. The Dutch edition is hosted by dotSPACE Foundation at Unmanned Valley.

This edition targets teams with an existing MVP, prototype, or validated concept (TRL 4–5) who are ready to test and adapt their solution for defence applications.
Theme: Defending Airspace
Challenges focus on:
- Cost-effective drone interceptors
- Next-generation drone detection systems
- Human–machine teaming for scalable counter-UAS operations
Over 2.5 intensive on-site days, teams will validate solutions with defence stakeholders, refine their value proposition, and accelerate operational readiness.
Local prizes (Netherlands)
- 1st prize: €7,000 + 24h mentorship (TNO & NLR)
- 2nd prize: €3,000 + 16h mentorship
- Innovation Valley prize: €1,500
- Pitch opportunity at VDL + media exposure + scaling assessment
National winners advance to a European mentorship programme (40h over two months) and compete in an EU-wide pitching event in June 2026.
