Groundstation.space launches industry map of remote sensing organisations

Groundstation.space has launched a new industry map of organisations working with satellite data and remote sensing, developed as part of the Sat-Insight Tech Hub initiative. The map covers the entire space industry value chain, including upstream and downstream segments. It provides an overview of companies, research organisations, and service providers active across the ecosystem, helping users navigate the landscape and identify relevant actors.

The new map builds on the original 2022 version and is now integrated into the Groundstation platform. Organisations can be explored in different views and filtered by category, value-chain segment, or location. For example, users can focus on organisations based in Zuid-Holland or browse specific areas and categories such as data analytics, applications, or engineering services.

Supporting access to satellite data applications

The industry map is part of the broader Sat-Insight Tech Hub, a project led by dotSPACE to strengthen access to remote sensing and AI technologies and make the ecosystem more visible and accessible. By connecting technology providers, solution developers, and end-users, the initiative supports the adoption of satellite-based applications across sectors such as water management, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and environmental monitoring.

As a new feature within Groundstation.space, the industry map introduces an interactive, dedicated directory of organisations active in the downstream space sector, enabling users to:

Developed with regional and industry partners

The map reflects cooperation between dotSPACE, NL Space Campus, InnovationQuarter, and industry stakeholders, with support from the Province of Zuid-Holland. The initiative contributes to strengthening visibility of the regional ecosystem while improving access to satellite-based capabilities and expertise.
