Projects outcomes will enable achieving the expected impacts of the destination by increasing access to primary raw materials, in particular critical raw materials for EU industrial value chains and strategic sectors
– Develop digital platforms that integrate Earth Observation data to improve data management and decision making during the extractive process
– Contribute to digitalize the extractive industries operations and help data gathering at EU level for evaluating the performance and competitiveness of extractive industries
– Provide practical and easily applicable capacity building and training materials for a better environmental and social management of active operations
– Envisage clustering activities with other relevant selected projects for cross-projects co-operation, consultations and joint activities on cross-cutting issues and share of results
– Contribute to improving the awareness of relevant external stakeholders and the general public across the EU about the importance and supply of raw materials
– Develop digital platforms (applications) addressing needs of small-scale operations, mining clusters and SMEs, to enable a transformative change in EU extractive industries ensuring EU raw materials autonomy, while protecting and restoring biodiversity, boost our resilience, fight climate change and recover from the COVID-19 crisis
