Meet ONDA DIAS: Watch the Introduction Webinar

Earlier this week, Groundstation.Space hosted the free webinar “Introduction to ONDA DIAS”, in collaboration with Serco. Everyone who is interested in working with Copernicus data was invited to join.

Franck Ranera, from SERCO Digital Solutions, explained about the services in ONDA. During the online event Franck shared tips and insights about how to work with Copernicus data via ONDA DIAS. He emphasized that the webinar was organised “to raise confidence in the use of these technologies”

ONDA DIAS 4 Education

ONDA DIAS is a cloud based digital answer to modern challenges in processing, storing and transmitting terabytes of satellite data for various purposes. It aims to facilitate, foster and expand the exploitation of Earth Observation satellite data and geospatial information. It enables users to build and operate applications in the cloud, by providing data, services and support.

You can use ONDA DIAS with any level of expertise in working with satellite data. ONDA provides open and free access to a huge volume of geospatial products and information. All data, information, applications and transactions are securely processed.

During the webinar the speaker talked about the ONDA application areas. One of these application areas is agriculture. Recently, Serco Europe was awarded its first framework contract to support the French Common Agriculture Policy (CAP). ONDA will allow the French ASP to implement continuous and automated monitoring of agricultural activity and decide on the eligibility of landowners to the agriculture aid schemes.

The full recording of the webinar is available in the video below.

ONDA Dias is one of five online DIAS platforms that allow users to find, manage, process and download Copernicus data and information.
