Space Tech Expo Europe to relocate from Bremen to Frankfurt in 2027

Space Tech Expo Europe will move from Bremen to Frankfurt from 2027, after eleven years in the city. According to the State of Bremen, the move is driven by the event’s continued growth and the limited capacity of Bremen’s exhibition facilities.

The event first took place in Bremen in 2015 with around 150 exhibitors and 2,600 participants from 50 countries. By 2025, it had grown to more than 950 exhibitors and over 12,000 participants. For the 2026 edition, all available exhibition space from the ÖVB Arena to Hall 7 will be in use.

Organiser Smarter Shows, part of Informa Markets, said that Bremen’s venue capacity was the only reason for the move. Discussions between Smarter Shows, the Bremen Senate and Messe Bremen are planned for autumn 2026 to explore possible future cooperation.

Bremen also plans to work on new formats in 2027 to help fill the gap left by the event.
