What skills will Europe’s space sector need in the coming years, and how can education and training keep pace?
On 2 December, SpaceSUITE will bring together representatives from industry, education, research and policy in Barcelona to discuss the skills and training needed across the European space sector.
Hosted by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), the event will focus on a practical challenge: how to translate evolving industry needs into relevant curricula and training programmes.
Participants will hear perspectives from across the space skills ecosystem and explore the work being developed through SpaceSUITE, including core curricula and training programmes designed to respond to identified skills needs.
The afternoon will provide an opportunity to:
- explore current and emerging skills needs in the European space sector
- learn about curricula and training programmes being developed through SpaceSUITE
- hear perspectives from industry, academia and public institutions
- discuss how education and training can respond to changes in the sector
- connect with organisations working on space skills, education and workforce development across Europe
The event is relevant for educators and training providers, universities and researchers, space companies and industry representatives, policymakers, students and early-career professionals, as well as others working on skills and workforce development.
SpaceSUITE is an Erasmus+ Blueprint project working to support skills development for Europe’s downstream space sector.
