Ahead of the EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2025, this Dutch pre-hackathon webinar focuses on Challenge 2: Space for Defence.
The session explores how space-based technologies can support multi-domain military operations, from secure communications to situational awareness. Participants will be introduced to geopolitical and operational contexts, including Ukraine, EU North-Eastern borders, Arctic security, maritime security, and missile defence.
Possible solution directions include:
- Onboard EO data processing and secure data relay
- Enhanced resilience of space-based communications
- Responsive access to space and hybrid warfare countermeasures
- Drone swarm detection, disruption, and situational awareness systems
