Before the official start of the EUDIS Defence Hackathon, DroneAid invites you to a hands-on drone-building session. In just three hours, you will assemble a 10-inch FPV drone from twelve components, step by step, with guidance from experienced instructors and a clear manual.

Register for the DroneAid workshop via Luma registration page

No prior experience is required. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have practical insights into drone technology and — weather permitting — may even see your drone take off.

Participation

  • Hackathon participants: 4 drone kits available (max. 8 people, first come first served). A registration link will be shared shortly before the hackathon through the official channels.
  • External participants: Contribution of €400 per kit (incl. materials & guidance). [Register here via Luma]

Why join?

DroneAid complements the hackathon with real-world skills and practical applications. The collective has taught veterans, volunteers, and engineers to build drones, which are then donated to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. Their workshop shows how hands-on training and community effort can turn ideas into tangible outcomes.

👉 Note: As part of the hackathon prize package, dotSPACE will provide access for winners to continue learning at a full-day DroneAid workshop in Utrecht. Register for the Hackathon here.
