The European Union has set ambitious environmental goals through the European Green Deal, the NextGenerationEU “Make it Green” initiative and the EU Missions in Horizon Europe, aiming for a climate-neutral Europe by 2050. The EU Space Programme has the potential to be a crucial player in providing private companies, researchers, as well as policy and decision makers with the necessary information to facilitate the green transformation. As a matter of fact, Copernicus provides comprehensive Earth Observation data, which can be used to develop innovative solutions for smart cities, urban planning and environmental management. This webinar aims to showcase the potential of Copernicus data in supporting climate neutral and smart cities, thus contributing to the achievement of the EU’s environmental goals.
