VECTAR programme opens applications for aerospace and robotics researchers

Researchers working on technologies with potential applications in aerospace or robotics can apply for VECTAR, a seven-week venture building programme combining online training with an in-person bootcamp in Turin. Applications are open until early September 2026.

Fondazione LINKS and FEAT Ventures have been selected as delivery partners for SPIN: Rise 2026, a venture building programme co-funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). As part of the programme, they are running VECTAR: Ventures in Emerging & Critical Technologies for Aerospace & Robotics.

VECTAR is aimed at researchers interested in exploring the commercial potential of their research and technology. The seven-week hybrid programme combines structured online training with a three-day in-person bootcamp in Turin.

From research results to potential applications

The online programme covers topics including intellectual property valorisation, open innovation, customer discovery, market analysis and pitching. Participants will then apply this work during the three-day bootcamp.

The programme is open to researchers working on technologies with industrial applications in aerospace or robotics. Relevant fields can include:

• avionics and propulsion
• satellite systems
• drones
• robotic manipulation
• autonomous navigation
• sensing and perception
• embedded control systems

Applicants do not need previous business experience.

Who can apply?

Applicants should have:

• technical or scientific expertise applicable to aerospace or robotics
• a research result with potential for further application, with no patent required
• availability to participate in the full programme, both online and in person

Participation is free of charge. Accommodation during the bootcamp in Turin is covered by the programme, while participants are responsible for their own travel costs.

Applications open until early September

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with the final deadline in early September 2026.
