Learning course on Remote Sensing and Disaster Management Applications
In the framework of the SpaceSUITE Project, Friedrich Schiller University Jena is organizing a blended learning course on Remote Sensing and Disaster Management Applications during October – November 2024.
This blended learning course aims to equip professionals with essential skills in remote sensing, focusing on Disaster Management applications such as Flood Mapping using radar data.
Combining EO College‘s “Land in Focus – Basics of Remote Sensing” course with live training, the course offers a flexible, rapid upskilling solution for those working in natural hazard risk assessment. Please note that the hands-on session will be available only to participants who have completed the online course.
Who Should Take This Course?
Ideal for professionals like data analysts working in natural hazards, this course builds foundational Earth Observation (EO) skills, particularly in disaster response.
- Format: Blended learning course (self-paced online learning with live virtual session).

- Self-paced online learning: 1-2 weeks, from 28 October to 22 November
- Live virtual training session: 27 November 2024 at 15:00 CET
