EUROSPACEHUB, IN SHORT: FOSTERING AEROSPACE COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION
EuroSpaceHub was born from the collaborative efforts of five international partners, including three universities and two private companies. Among the founders are: the International Space University (ISU), Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, the Lunex Foundation and Collabwith Group.
The EIT HEI initiative funds the project, led by EIT Manufacturing and EIT Raw Materials. The EIT HEI initiative — Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education — is a key objective of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as part of its Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021-2027.
EuroSpaceHub is a European ecosystem to foster innovation, and it was created to digitally connect academia and research with industry and startups in the Space sector. The project will enable these actors to connect easily with the financial opportunities offered by the Horizon Europe framework, the venture capital program and the InnovFin initiative. EuroSpaceHub will bridge the gap between academic institutions and industry using a collaborative mindset and entrepreneurship programs within universities. Summarizing the main objectives of the EuroSpaceHub project,
- Learning and training: creating a new educational program for young entrepreneurs in the aerospace sector, fostering in them a collaborative mindset;
- Collaboration and networking: fostering exchange between universities and industry in Aerospace through the EuroSpaceHub digital platform, which facilitates collaboration and technology transfer: https://platform.eurospacehub.com/login
- Communication and dissemination: connect opportunities in Space with students, non-academic staff and professionals, thus enabling their participation in innovation workshops, astronautics training, analogue missions, Space Instruments and Testing.
